Music plays a vital role in Christian worship.  Through the sense of hearing, music leads us more deeply into the Mystery of God than mere words are able to do.  Music is a gift of God through which the Divine invites us into an intimacy we cannot otherwise articulate.

Saint Clement's Choir has been called one of the best smaller Church Choirs in the Pacific Northwest. The Choir consists of  volunteer members of the Parish who love to sing and offer their voices in praise to God.

The Choir offers anthems and leads both liturgical and congregational singing.  They have also formed a welcoming and caring community among themselves.   The Choir rehearses on Sunday mornings at 9.30 a.m. as well as every other Thursday evening. There is place for you too!  For more information about the Choir, please contact our Director of Music at

The Sound of the Northwest is a group of singers from the Greater Seattle area who have come together to share with others the joy music brings to their lives. The Sound is directed by its founder, Juan Huey-Ray and made its debut in 1987 at the 4th Annual Convention of the Inter-national Association of Minister’s Wives and Widows, Incorporated.

Since then, The Sound has participated in several special events including the Friendship Concert with the Vladimir Chamber Chorus of Russia and the Seattle Peace Chorus; An African-American Song Celebration with the Concord Choir of Portland, Oregon conducted by Ysaye Barnwell of Sweet Honey in the Rock, The Sound s Tenth Anniversary Concert also conducted by Ms. Barnwell, and A Concert of Sacred Music by Duke Ellington  with the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra. Christmas with The Sound is a collection of a cappella spirituals recorded in 1992.

A remarkable group of talented performers, they are dedicated to increasing the universal awareness and appreciation of the rich African American musical heritage. The Sound’s programs are inspirational, varied, entertaining and we promise to evoke an emotional experience.

He is Music Director for the City Opera Ballet.  Regionally, Philip served as conductor/music director for instrumental Bellevue’s Cascadian Chorale.  Under his direction the Cascadian Chorale and Chamber Orchestra presented numerous choral/orchestral masterworks including using Requiem settings by Brahms, Mozart, Fauré, and Duruflé, and served for two years as resident conductor/music director of the Garrett Fisher Ensemble, an avant-garde opera company in Seattle. As resident conductor of the Affinity Ensemble, a musician’s collective associated with the Washington Composers Forum, he was one of two regional conductors to conduct in Seattle Symphony's 2006 Made in America Festival in Benaroya Hall.

In November 2015, Mr. Tschopp was conductor and baritone soloist for The Withing Project, Hope Wechkin’s acclaimed Theatrical Oratorio based on the science of human connection. In addition to his conducting activities, Mr. Tschopp serves on the board of directors for the Washington Composers Forum, on the board of directors for Seattle’s prize-winning Choral Arts Northwest, and serves as Administrator for the Bern Herbolsheimer Music Catalogue.  Among other highlights, Mr. Tschopp’s 2017 has included a reprise of City Opera’s 2015 Firebird and appearances with his new professional vocal ensemble Singularity at the first annual Herbolsheimer Music Festival 2017.
